We stayed in Bangkok for 1 night. Although JW Marriott is only 30 mins drive from the airport, it took us almost 2 hours to reach the hotel as the traffic in Bangkok is just crazy.
Traffic is one of the first things that you see in Bangkok. But we were quite happy to just sit back and enjoy the drive looking at all the places around.
On reaching the hotel, our check-in was done within few minutes and in no time we were escorted to our room. The room was beautiful, cozy and luxurious. They also kept a delicious chocolate and strawberry welcome cake for us in our room. Our room overlooked the Nana Entertainment Plaza (a must visit place when in Bangkok – please google for more details).
Being Friday evening, we were more than delighted to have their special lavish dinner buffets at the ‘Marriott Cafe’ restaurant (NB: Marriott Café has a lavish dinner spread during weekends) and we must say that yes it was truly lavish and one of the best dinner buffets we would have ever had.It had all the possible cuisines- Indian, Thai, Japanese, Steaks, Loads of Sea Foods (Being a Sea Food Lover, Milton tasted each and every sea food item). The Lamb and Beef steaks were juicy and were cooked to perfection. The cheese and mushroom pasta with white sauce were just amazing. The Desserts section was huge with all possible types of ice creams and sweet treats & Yeah do end of your dinner with a nice hot cup of Cappuccino which is truly refreshing 🙂
The Breakfast Buffet is also a huge spread. We loved the cheese omlette and a huge selection of fresh fruit juices, freshly cut fruits and pastries.
The Hotel has a huge well equipped gym and a beautiful pool to chill out. The hotel staff were nice and friendly and the service is absolutely top class. Although we stayed for just 1 night in Bangkok, we enjoyed our stay at the JW Marriott to the fullest.
